Magnolia Private Residence Club Caters to Families on Florida’s Emerald Coast

As Florida’s increasing property tax and insurance costs have slowed down the real estate market, residence clubs have proven to be an attractive alternative to whole ownership because these costs are shared amongst multiple owners. Although often confused with timeshares and destination clubs, private residence club owners have significantly greater flexibility in how they utilize their ownership. A fully furnished three-bedroom residence at Magnolia starts at $159,000 for a one-eighth share. There are just 17 residences
on the property, allowing for an intimate vacation experience.

The property has an expansive rooftop deck which includes a heated pool, hot tub, and two outdoor grilling areas. Owners can access the beach via a protected boardwalk, and staff will deliver Club lounge chairs, umbrellas, and coolers to the beach. A spacious, state-of-the-art fitness center with sauna, steam room and massage room is also on the premises.
Secured, air-conditioned owner storage eliminates the hassle of traveling to Magnolia with cumbersome beach gear. In addition to daily housekeeping, the Club staff provides pre-arrival grocery service. Outdoor recreation is made easier with bicycles on hand for complimentary owner use.
Magnolia developer Alan O’Neal of Axiom Capital Group, LLC says the Club was developed for families who are enthusiasts of Highway 30-A and its offerings. “We have created a residence club that provides an
exceptional family environment, in terms of comfort and amenities.” He adds, “Highway 30-A sees a lot of repeat visitors, and we are pleased to offer them affordable yet luxurious second homeownership that will enable them to fully enjoy their vacations in this beautiful part of the Emerald Coast.”

The residence club concept is growing in popularity as Americans discover the flexible and carefree lifestyle this type of second home offers. Shared ownership market research firm Ragatz Associates reported continued growth in the residence club industry in 2007 with an estimated sales volume of $1.2 billion, a 12
percent increase over 2006.
Axiom Capital Group has teamed with DCP International, the consulting company who pioneered the Equity Residence ClubSM concept in 1992 with the opening of the Deer Valley Club at the prestigious Deer Valley
Resort in Utah.
