Endless Vacation Rentals® launches the LOL Vacation Contest; tell your funniest travel story for an opportunity to win a week’s vacation plus cash
Building off the success of its first YourFatChance.com contest, Endless Vacation Rentals (EVR), one of the Wyndham Worldwide family of brands (NYSE: WYN), is again looking to turn someone’s funny story into an Endless Vacation and give away more than $40,000USD in prizes. The enhanced and interactive YourFatChance.com LOL Vacation Contest is now calling for funny vacation stories and visitors to tickle the hippo.
“We saw how much fun everyone had with the first contest and thought another contest -this time geared toward vacation stories – would again be a way to send three lucky winners on an even better vacation,” said Geoff Ballotti, president and CEO, Wyndham Exchange and Rentals. “Endless Vacation Rentals offers excellent vacations to thousands of vacationing families every year, and we’re hoping this LOL Vacation Contest will bring out the fun-loving people who want to take advantage of the quality and value that Endless Vacation Rentals offers.”
Starting on November 2, 2009, contest participants can enter their funniest vacation story at YourFatChance.com. The top 25 funniest entries, as chosen by EVR, will be announced on or around February 20, 2010, and posted at YourFatChance.com. Visitors can then cast their votes for the funniest story until April 2, 2010. Additionally, throughout the campaign, six one-week vacations and cash prizes totaling nearly $5,000USD will randomly be awarded to participants. Winners will be announced the week of April 19, 2010, and the story receiving the most votes will receive the Grand Prize: a one-week vacation rental stay, valued at up to $5,000USD, through EVRentals.com, plus $5,000USD in cash cards. The First Prize winner will receive a one-week vacation rental stay, valued at up to $2,500USD, plus $2,500USD in cash cards and the Second Prize winner will receive a one-week vacation rental stay, valued at up to $1,000USD, plus $1,000USD in cash cards.
As part of the vacation contest, EVR will display a YourFatChance.com advertisement in New York’s Times Square prompting participants to text “LOL” to 95495 to tickle the hippo with their cell phones. The goal of collecting tickles is to reach 100,000 and send two deserving families on a vacation; one family was selected by Christel House International Foundation and the other was selected by the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Throughout the contest, visitors can visit YourFatChance.com to tickle the hippo as often as they like to help reach the goal.
