Experience The Unique Lifestyle Of Seasonal Ownership At Gleneagles
November 23, 2009 by Fractional & Shared Ownership Property News & Reviews · Leave a Comment
Seasonal Ownership at Gleneagles® is an inspired creation – a unique opportunity to own, in a season or seasons of your choice, one of the impressive homes at Glenmor, set on heather-clad moorland within The Gleneagles Hotel’s spectacular 850 acre estate. Glenmor® offers 2, 3, or 4 bedroom homes for a week every year until 2058 from as little as £10,030 – a lifetime of luxury holidays with all the pampering and services of a five-star hotel included.

Another way to enjoy the advantages of a Glenmor home is the short break option for a one-off payment of £5,865, alternately staying Friday to Monday one year and Monday to Friday the following year, through to 2058. Alternatively you could opt for a weekly rental, which starts from £1,140 for 7 nights in a 2-bedroom home.
The homes have stunning views of the breathtaking scenery over the Perthshire moors and beyond. They have their own private balcony and a modern, fully equipped kitchen that opens into a stylish dining area. Adjustable under-floor heating throughout provides comforting warmth all year round. Each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom and every home has a separate bathing room of unparalleled luxury.
The gabled, first floor living room enjoys light and space, not to mention panoramic views. And with an eight-seater dining table there is ample room to entertain. With all the soft fabrics and rich leathers, it feels luxurious and restful. Rich chocolate browns and creams complement splashes of colour that echo the countryside outside.
Glenmor home owners enjoy special privileges, like golf membership for one during the week of their stay and resident rates for friends and other family members. They come to unwind together, spending lazy afternoons whisky-tasting, indulging themselves at The Spa or simply filling the huge bath tub and stepping into uninterrupted indulgence.
Instructed by fully trained Gleneagles staff, children gain so many skills and experiences – golf, horse riding, swimming, hill walking – interests that last a lifetime. And, of course, a week at Glenmor means time for all the family to explore Scotland’s long history – its glens and lochs, heritage cities and castles.
Enjoy a refreshment in the split-level café bar, The Tryst, at the centre of Glenmor village with stunning views across to Ben Lawers in the Trossachs and Ben Vorlich in the Grampian Mountains.
Gleneagles is one of the world’s most highly regarded hotels, famous for its Scottish heritage, legendary hospitality and exceptional leisure facilities. Its golf is world-class, with The PGA Centenary Course chosen to host the 2014 Ryder Cup Matches.
Just one hour’s drive from Glasgow or Edinburgh, Gleneagles offers some of the finest sporting and recreational facilities in Scotland – fishing, shooting, riding, falconry, gundog and off road driving schools are all available on the hotel’s estate. The Club, with its two pools, gymnasium, and health suite is the ideal place to unwind from the stress and strain of modern life.
Gleneagles is the perfect setting for one of the most luxurious destination spas in the world. Following an £8 million investment, The Spa at Gleneagles by ESPA opened early March 2008. Every aspect of the unique and tranquil space enhances the therapeutic ESPA treatments.

The calming relaxation rooms and the spacious, naturally lit courtyard allow you to rest your body and mind pre and post treatment. Arrive early to prepare your skin for treatment by visiting the luxury heat experiences – explore the crystal steam rooms, tropical showers, chilling ice rubs, saunas and the striking unisex vitality pool.
Eating in the Spa’s exclusive café, Deseo at The Spa, is all about sensuous enjoyment and increased wellbeing. Meals are presented in beautiful wooden bento boxes, containing a range of freshly prepared dishes, rich in superfoods and designed to work in harmony with your treatment to help you rediscover your body’s natural balance. A selection of fresh fruit smoothies, teas and coffees are also available.
The Club caters for everyone – you might prefer a physical work out in the gym, or lengths of the 20 metre lap pool, or perhaps you would like to join in with one of the exercise classes in the studio. You can work on your serve and perfect your backhand with a tennis lesson, or, if you prefer, hire a mountain bike and head off on a trail.
It’s hard to keep the children away from the spacious lagoon pool — they splash about for hours. Slip through the curtain into the bubbling hot pool outside to experience the warm water whilst breathing in the fresh Scottish air.
You will find a wide choice of dining experiences at Gleneagles – from light lunches to glamorous five-course evening meals. The Strathearn is a grand restaurant offering classic dishes using the finest Scottish ingredients.
Unashamedly sophisticated and understated, serving French cuisine with a Scottish twist in seductive opulent surroundings, Andrew Fairlie @ Gleneagles is the only restaurant in Scotland to hold two Michelin Stars
The lively Deseo restaurant offers fine food from the Mediterranean. Its food emporium is like a bustling market, full of fresh ingredients. Choose from tapas dishes, meals cooked in the charcoal oven and delicious Italian desserts.
The Dormy Clubhouse offers the best of British fare. Relax and enjoy breakfast, sandwiches and summer carvery meals overlooking the golf courses.

Gleneagles is one of the most exhilarating settings in the world for a round of golf. With springy moorland turf underfoot and sweeping views from all around the tees, the three championship courses enjoy stunning surroundings, yet each has its own unique character.
The 6,471 yard King’s Course has been testing the golfing aristocracy since 1919. Then there’s the 5,965 yard Queen’s Course, with its lovely woodland setting. The newest star is the PGA Centenary, host to the Ryder Cup in 2014, with graded tees at each hole in five stages, including a challenging 6,815 yards from the white markers down to an approachable 5,322 from the red.
If you fancy a warm-up round, or if you’re just starting out, the delightful nine-hole par three Wee Course is ideal. Or introduce the whole family to a game of pitch and putt!
There can be no doubt that the better you play, the more enjoyable a round of golf becomes. At the Golf Academy, state of the art facilities are used to replicate all aspects of the game. Our PGA Professionals provide lessons to improve the performance of enthusiastic beginners, advanced players, children and adults alike. The latest computer software analyses your grip, your posture, the rhythm of your swing and the consistency of your contact with the ball, making it easy for you to focus on improving specific aspects of your game. Or if you prefer, you can gain on-course tuition playing a round with a Professional.
As well as golf, there are many other sporting activities at Gleneagles. The shooting school is based on a sporting layout, meaning that the paths of the clays simulate the flights of game birds. Fly fishing tuition is given on nearby lochs, stocked with brown and rainbow trout. The falconry school provides a range of different courses designed to suit all levels of experience. Guests can enjoy a 45-minute lesson where they handle a Harris hawk as they are introduced to the sport and taught the basic techniques. At the off road driving school tuition covers basic four-wheel drive techniques on two purpose-built courses. The equestrian school provides coaching in all equestrian disciplines, giving beginners the opportunity to learn new skills and accomplished riders to polish up their horsemanship under expert guidance, as well as hosting a variety of equestrian events. The gundog school gives the opportunity to control a highly trained Labrador, Beginning with basic obedience instructions and
advancing to sending your dog over fences and hedges on the rustic agility course.
